'Shearwater' is one of the few
wooden Cornish shrimpers that were built before the
boats become volume produced in G.R.P. Shearwater's
owners Paul and Ros Walland noticed some soft timer
in the starboard gunwale timber under the narrow
side deck. The complete repair involved replacement
of the gunwale components from approx. 3 feet abaft
the stern to 3 feet abaft the main bulkhead, a new
cabin side and repairs to the main bulkhead itself.
